This game was a bit disappointing. There were more puzzles and very little HO. The graphics were ok, not great. The skip button took forever to be able to use, and you will use them. If you click off the puzzle and come back, it starts all over again, and take so much time you can take 10 minute breaks and come back. The HO part was challenging at times, only because the graphics were not so good. This is not kid friendly and at times didn't think it was friendly at all. Just really didn't enjoy this game as much as so many other HO games that are offered by Game House.

On the fence about buying, but the demo was quite fun. I've played all the "brain" games that I know of, and this one is definitely better than most.

As for the scene, it's ok. The music was annoying.

I downloaded this game knowing that it had only 2 stars, but I thought I would try it myself. The directions were not very informative except to tell you about the colors and squares, what it did not tell you is what/why the woman in the circle is shaking her head; it seems always "no." If you could tell by where you had your cursor and could move it to a better choice; it might make more sense but I can't see any correlation to that. To me she is distracting and I try to block her out. The scoring seems a bit low but going up and that is ok, don't always need high scores to feel good. Trying to find items that do not belong in the scene is different (stuck on one), sometimes hard to locate. I am still trying to be skillful or logical in choosing which colors to blast to see it that changes anything. Otherwise I find the game interesting enough to keep on trying it to see if I can get more adept at it.

The game alternates levels between object search and spot-the-differences. There appears to be a hard limit of one hint per level. In the object search mode, you have a short amount of time to find the listed objects, and no way to indicate what kind of item you're really looking for if the word is vague (for example, "torch" could mean a stick with fire on the end, but it's also a flashlight if you're British). In the difference levels, you don't get the customary second cursor to help you, and the pictures aren't always exactly lined up, leading you to think there are spacing differences at the edges that don't exist. Some differences are tiny differences in shading that won't be visible on all computer monitors. Others don't have a clear indication of where to click -- a missing border around an item will count as an error if you click where the border should be. Should you fail at any level, your game is over and there's no means of continuing or doing anything other than starting over at level 1 if you want to continue.

This is apparently the 4th Pajama Sam in the series. It's the second one I have played. The first one I played, "No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside," was better in most respects. This one had a lot of back-and-forth with no direct way to get several places. Every time you had to go back to the top of the mountain, which was often, you had to climb on a spoon and lob raisins onto it in order to be catapulted up the moutain. That got old fast. Also, it was difficult for me to know what to do next, let alone a child (But then again they might be better at it!). As in the previous game, there is no help menu and no hint. You're on you own. In all honesty, I'm not sure I could have finished the game without a walkthrough. The one really good thing about this game was a song almost at the beginning about being a dirty sock all alone. It was sung very well by a talented singer, and had life lessons about not just looking at the outside of someone but trying to see what's on the inside before you make judgments. This was truly a production number and was very delightful. Overall, this game was a bit tedious and sometimes difficult to know what to do next. It has its charms for kids I'm sure, but there are other games out there for kids that are better.
